EUGENE L. TU
(Center Director at NASA’s Ames Research Center 2017)

Based in California’s Silicon Valley, he leads a staff of civil servants and contractors in providing critical research and development support that makes the aeronautics and space missions of NASA and the nation possible.
Tu began his career as a research scientist conducting computational fluid dynamics research on the steady and unsteady aerodynamics of complex aircraft configurations. After progressing through various research and managerial positions in such computational fields as aerodynamics, information technology, high-performance computing, and communications, he was selected as the deputy programmeme manager for the agency’s IT Base Research programmeme in 1997. In 1998, he was selected as the programmeme manager for the agency-level High Performance Computing and Communications, or HPCC, programmeme and concurrently led both the IT Base Research and HPCC . In 2001, the two programmememes were combined into the Computing, Information, and Communication logy (CICT) program, and Tu was and Tu was selected as the CICT programmeme manager. In 2002, he was selected for the Senior Executive Service Candidate Development Program (SESESCDP and served in the Office of Biological and Physical Research at NASA Headquarters in 2003 and as the acting director for the Information Sciences and Technology Directorate at Ames in 2004. After receiving his SES certification in 2005, he was selected as the director of exploration technology at Ames.
Tu was most recently director of exploration technology at Ames, a position he held from November 2005 until his selection as Ames Centre Director in May 2015, leading four technology research and development divisions, including two of NASA’s critical infrastructure assets: the consolidated arc jet testing complex and the agency’s primary supercomputing facility.
Tu earned his bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the University of California, Berkeley, in 1988, and both his master’s degree and doctorate in aeronautics and astronautics from Stanford University in 1990 and 1996, respectively.
He is an associate fellow of the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics. Tu received the NASA Outstanding Leadership Medal in 2000. He also received Presidential Rank Awards for Meritorious Executive and Distinguished Executive in 2009 and 2020.
Tu lives in Fremont, California, with his wife, Kathy, and three children. His hobbies include attending sporting events, travelling, and otorsports. I am always grateful to Dr. Eugene for contributing his expert advice on the science and technology curriculum.
DR. SUJATHA BOPANNA

Fr. SHIJO ANTONY
(Kanjirathamkunnel)
Fr. Shijo served four years in Rome under Pope Francis as the Postulator General, doing the canonization process of saints, and as the Procurator General, the legal representative of the Vincentian Fathers to the State of Vatican.
For five years, he lived in Alaska, coordinating the Hispanic-Spanish-speaking mission as the Director of Hispanic Ministry of the Archdiocese of Anchorage-Juneau.
Hails from Kannur, Kerala. He joined the Vincentian Fathers in 1991 and was ordained a priest in 2004. He graduated in psychology from Union Christian College Aluva, and he holds a doctorate in canon law (church laws) from Spain and a second doctorate in positive psychology from the USA. He is a licenced positive psychology practitioner through the American Board of Positive Psychology.
He speaks five Indian and four foreign languages. He is a photographer, mindfulness practitioner, motivational speaker, and youth and family therapist. He has travelled to more than 40 countries and encountered many cultures and peoples. Currently, he is the Dean of Studies at De Paul Degree College, Mysore.
Mr. YASHAS R.
A Tech Icon has been instrumental in several projects and missions at the NATIONAL AERONAUTICS AND SPACE ADMINISTRATION (NASA), AMES facility, CA. He has been a driving force of –
- Decoding Transmission of the Voyager 2 Probe and Parker Solar
- Telecommunications for Curiosity
- Decoding the Transmission of OSIRIS-Rex
- Developed a bio-degradable propellant for PACE shuttles, boosters, and different thrusters.
- Armed with several key responsibilities as a trajectory calculation advisor (NASA) in 2020, a literacy committee head in 2019, a class representative in 2019 and an assistant mission operations director (AMOD-NASA) in 2018 and 2019,

He has several accomplishments during his brief stint at NASA, where he published five research articles under the supervision of the NASA Ames Facility, California: “Future of Science”, “Jupiter: the twin brother of the sun”, “South Atlantic Anomaly: Black holes on earth?”, “Mysteries of Pluto and “Depression: A story, an experience”.
Has gone on to publish six novels available on Amazon, Flipkart, and Google Play Books. Featured on Disrupt International Magazine: “Mysteries of the Internet and Other Conspiracy Theories”, “The Love Research”, “The Gist of Life,” and a poetry collection called “Yasho Geetha,” he further received the prestigious Indian Noble Award, 15th ranking in the Golden ARC Awards, the Best Author of the Year Award (2021), the Sahitya Ratna Award, and the Rabindranath Tagore Award for art and literature for the novels he has authored.
REV. Dr. BAIJU ANTONY CM
is a Catholic priest belonging to the Congregation of the Mission (CM), commonly known as the Vincentians. He is a scholar in education, especially in higher education management.

Mr. PRAVEEN KUMAR C
He is a mechanical engineer ranked 113 in Karnataka and ranked No. 1 in MBA (HR) and went on to co-author a textbook on “Research Methodology, Fundamentals of HR Analytics, and Recruitment and Selection He was further awarded with the title of Statistician and Youngest Researcher, while his interest in the field of business subjects adds immensely to the subjects.
RAJESHA L. (FCA, B.COM.)
A renowned chartered accountant by profession and a Fellow Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.
Mr. Rajesh has over 7 years of experience with indirect tax laws and advising clients on compliance, tax planning, and representation before the government and authorities. Presently, I am the proprietor of M/s. Rajesha L. and Associates, Chartered Accountants. He has rich expertise in goods and services tax, statutory audits, internal audits of companies, and audits under the Income Tax Act. Rajesh has gone on to represent several clients before various statutory authorities like the Service Tax Appellate Tribunal and the VAT and GST Appellate Authorities. While we are indebted to his contribution to the taxation curriculum.
Dr. Rithika Vakkalaganti Rajesh
Is a doctor by profession and currently with Novartis. He has immensely contributed to framing the curriculum on emergency management, which enables help and assistance to everybody in dire situations.
